In this episode…

…a conversation with Iz Paehr about where oppression can be felt, when doing access work.
In great detail they describe how the body is a site of noticing ableist oppression. As an artist and researcher that often is involved in access work within cultural or academic institutions, Iz is not interested in gaining access to existing ableist structures.

Disability Justice (DJ) is about changing institutions, which is not a form of complicit, but rather a collective process of designing spaces for us by us. Spaces that are not about educating non-disabled people, yet about making our worlds anew. Belonging requires a radical transformation of the core values of institutions. We can only really belong when everyone does.

On 26 November 2026 this conversation will be launched as episode 4.
